Exercise helps us feel good in our bodies. Movement is often the best medicine for stiffness, lack of energy, low mood, and many other ailments. It unlocks our body, restores our balance, and increases our capacities. A huge piece of this is our mobility.
Interesting - I'll give this a shot. As I get older, mobility gets more important. I got quite fascinated with Kinstretch stuff but its incredible boring to do, and too hard to have a separate routine to my other gym workouts. Probably the most mobility integrated approach for me was when I was doing Chinese martial arts (tho that lacks a resistance training component)
Can relate re aging and mobility. let me know how it goes as you experiment. Its cool to hear about your experience with martial arts. has been fun to explore resistance training workouts that are more geared towards mobility and movement training
I've been toying around with the idea of movement and mobility puzzles
Open ended challenges like "How many different ways can you get from a squat to standing position?" etc
Love your idea of mobility puzzles. Such a great way to point towards curiosity and exploration with the movements
